Respect. It’s something we all want. It’s something we all deserve . It is something that must be earned. In order to get respect, you must give it .

In today’s world there is much disrespect. Disrepect because of one’s color or religion. Disrespect of one’s beliefs and opinions . Disrespect because of one’s age . I could go on.

Respect is a basic human right . It is important. Without respect there is discord . And that discord leads to hate as we see too often these days.

Agreeing to disagree with someone’s opinion is respect. Not liking a person but helping them when they are in need is respect. The next time you hear someone complaining that they are not getting respect ask them if they are giving respect to others.
