” Here comes the rain again.” No, I’m not singing along with Annie Lennox and The Eurythmics. I am just commenting on the weather. Here in South Florida, we’ve had a somewhat wet start to the summer. Yes, it is our rainy( and hurricane )season, but c’mon, a little sun would be nice.
I guess we should be careful what we wish for. Pretty soon, the temperature will be in the stratosphere, and we’ll all be thinking how nice a little rain would be. A little rain is fine, as long as it’s not a torrential downpour. Then of course, it is also hurricane season. Oh joy. Every day as we check the weather, we also keep a watch on what’s going on in the tropics. At a moment’s notice we must be ready to fill up our cars, stock up on groceries , batteries, and water, and to hunker down in our homes while a storm rages outside.
Either way you look at it, this is summer in South Florida. And since we choose to live here, we also choose to deal with whatever Mother Nature throws at us. Be that as it may , I’m changing my tune. As much as I like The Eurythmics, it’s time rain, rain, to go away.
No rain here in PA….a little bit the other morning….but nothing significant. You need to be here. Temps have cooled down and sun shines every day!
