Seinfeld was once called, ” a show about nothing , ” and since I’m off from work , and bored, I decided to take a page from Seinfeld’s book, and write, ” a blog post about nothing . ” But first things, first . I needed an eye-catching image for this post so I went straight to Google , and found the above image which was used by a blogger named Oliver Keller in his blog . Hope he doesn’t mind that I borrowed it.

So here I am, at the dining room table, laptop in front of me, a bottle of Yoo-Hoo ( yes, Yoo-Hoo) on one side, and my cell phone on the other side. This being Thanksgiving week, I ony had to work yesterday and Monday. My hubby is at work today , so I am left to my own devices ( insert evil laugh here ) . Since writing is something that I love to do ( I’ve been doing it since I was 12, and am now 54), I decided that writing about nothing is better than not writing anything at all. Which is how I found myself sitting in the dining room writing this blog post. As I sit here, I am realizing that writing about nothing isn’t all that easy. After writing a sentence or two , I have to stop, sit back and think to myself, ” How should I continue?, What else can I say ? ” Once I answer the questions that my mind is asking, I start typing once more until I must stop again and figure out how to proceed. As I look at the screen in front of me, I see that, indeed, I have been able to write about nothing, and as I read what I have written, I have decided that for a blog post about nothing, it’s not bad at all.

I’ve written blog posts on a variety of subjects , and now if anyone asks me what I wrote about today, I can truthfully say , ” nothing . “
