‘Twas just weeks before Christmas and all over the place
People were shopping at the most frantic pace
Crowding the stores from dawn until dusk
Leaving nothing in their wake but worn out old husks
All parking lots were full, not one spot in sight
As people searched for bargains, all day and all night
Pictures with Santa, a sale here, a sale there
The excitement was palpable, you could feel it in the air
With gleaming eyes and wallets in hand
People shopped ’til they no longer could stand
So to everyone brave enough to head to the mall
