We are less than a month into 2025. Less than a month under the new administration in D.C. , and I’ve come to a conclusion.  The conclusion is this : my mere existence is offensive to some.

The fact that I exist is very offensive to mysogonists, neoNazis, and others who thrive on hate. Why, you might ask? I’ll tell you why.

Because I am a woman, I am offensive to mysogonists.  Because I am Jewish, I am offensive to neoNazis. Because I have hearing loss and wearing hearing aids, I am offensive to those who hate people with disabilities  and who see me that way.

But that is their problem,not mine. Although we are living in a time of rising hate, encouraged , and even praised, by the current administration,  I refuse to be intimidated.  I refuse to let anyone make me feel like I am nothing.

I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend. I am a good and decent human being. I will never let hate win. I may have three strikes against me, but I am not out.
